I was the first one in line when HMV opened this morning and I bought 10 copies of Planet Earth. It was hilarious to see the look on the sales associate's face. I bought 1 for myself and mailed out the 9 others to family and friends. It is such an amazing album. Prince is incredible!!

I have to wait a couple days to get mine, I ordered a while back on amazon I should have just gone to the store today to get it. It is #3 on the sales charts on amazon!!!! at least it was last night

this is killing me; For the last 23 years I have bought EVERY PRINCE release on the 1st day.

I MAJORLY threw my back out and can barely walk today (too much bending down to pick up my 1 year old!!!). I am forcing my wife to pick up a copy on her way back from work. She better not let me down!!! LOL

Fold open digipack. It has a hologram of the pic of Prince we are used to seeing for PE, when you tilt it you see the symbol with the earth in it. The next flap has an alternate pic of Prince which looks really cool. The CD is a planet, and underneath the CD you see all the credits of who is on the CD...etc.

I went to our local used/new record store and bought 6 copies - will keep one sealed, one to use and the rest to give as gifts. Even though they were priced higher there ($13.99), I like to support this store (especially since it's where I found both Madhouse CDs & Vanity 6 a few years ago, all in one day at 2 different locations for $6.99 each!). I'd also pre-ordered from Amazon, so I am getting one for $9.99 also.

The shop said they'd sold quite a few this morning. The section on their wall display already had 3 empty rows and while I was standing there, a guy came up and grabbed one. Then as I was browsing, Mr. Goodnight came on over their in-store system, it was a fun Prince release morning!

i'd move heaven and earth to have my family & friends NOT hear planet earth. they all know im such a prince obsessive and ever since last week all ive had is "this sucks" as if i'm personally responsible, and "what do you see in this guy?" as if he's never released anything else. mind you ive been used to be being embarassed by being a prince fan for quite some time

it sounds much better than my bootlegg copy.....9.99 at best buy
