Yeah, that's actually a good point. He has had L. Graham in his personal life and guesting on the stage and on the albums for a solid decade now, yet he has never really utilized his bass playing potential to any noticeable degree.

I think Prince likes jamming with Larry Graham in jam sessions and on stage, but I think he likes rotating bass players of his own choosing for his own needs. The last few years he has recruited Sonny T. for recording at Paisley Park and he uses he regular bassist Joshua Dunham obviously for the Rio Las Vegas 3121, Roosevelt Hotel and 02 London residencies. I agree with you funkyhead that if Prince thinks Larry Graham is the "Michael Jordan" of bass he use him more for his own records, and to produce for Larry Graham. I mean, Larry is happy-go-lucky just to call Prince his baby brother. That power trio of John Blackwell, Larry Graham and Prince is musically frighetning.

Who's knows maybe it may happen in the future. I'm hoping that when Prince goes to study the bible after the 02 London 21 Shows gig, he'll link back up with the players from the "Rainbow Children" album and make some more music.

Larry G is a proflific funk artist in his iwn right so maybe Prince feels slightly intimidated by this. Dont get me worng, as a bass player myself, I feel Prince rights the most amazing bass licks, but could he compare to Larry G? Maybe he doesnt like having someone put as much imput in as I would imagine Larry G would want to.
