yeah, you would be missing the hits. barely but a few of those qualify as hits, especially the Truth, which is a great song but I don't know if it ever got any play at all, nevertheless broke the top, oh, say 1,000,000. this message brought to you by logic.

well there was a few songs on the first two hits albums that were never hits so i like this tracklist...think you need 'the good life' in there as that WAS a top 20 hit in the uk...and ' come on' also charted in the uk..'future baby mama ' has alredy charted in the r&b chart in the us....'last december' was a number 1 hit in japan if you are looking for international hits

The Good Life shouldn't be included though as this wasn't released as a 'Prince'
or ' ' song, it was released under the name 'New Power Generation'. If you
start including NPG songs then you'd have to add 'Get Wild' and 'Come On' too. And I don't think it's appropriate to include NPG tracks on a 'Prince' best of (even the ones from NPS where he sings lead), otherwise you might as well start including Sheila E, The Time or Madhouse tracks etc. [Edited 7/24/07 7:02am]

Black Sweat (top 50, uk ,us ) 17. Fury. 18. future baby mama Would anyone actually buy the record above?? Its like a whos who of his worst songs ever, Betcha by Golly Wow, Black Sweat, Fury, The Holy River - truly awful songs.. Hits 1 and 2 didnt have partyman and Batman, so I guess we could omit Betcha by Golly Wow, Black Sweat, The Holy River and add a couple of decent album tracks.. as those songs were omitted. In fact, just to beef up the album a bit, I think those Batman songs could be incorporated into a Hits 3. And for extra spice, I would end the Batman "collection" with the Scandalous Sex Suite.. Awesome way to end a record.. I would add a few non-album tracks, he didnt have enough "hits" to really have a hits CD, so instead, do what the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" did several years ago and call it "What hits?", just adding their best songs as well as the couple of hits they had in the 80's (just before they became huge).. If we could do this, I would add some of his stronger songs, She loves me for me, Dolphin, Dear Mr Man as album tracks. I agree that the good life shouldnt be on there, altbough its a great track. But "Come On" is a Prince song, regardless of how it was "badged" and should be on it.. I also thought that 3121 the song eclipses all the other songs on that record, so should be present, at least so listeners know that this album is represented. I also added Chelsea Rodgers as the last song because I wanted it to end with a roaring disco tune as well. The Last December is on there because someone said it was a hit in Japan. I would also add Guitar to this list. Not sure if its a hit, but it quite well known.. 01. Letitgo 02. Space (acoustic version) 03. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World - non- album version 04. I Hate U 05. Gold 06. Dophin (Has been played live a few times and a ripper of a tune) 07. Dinner With Delores 08. The Truth 09. The Greatest Romance Ever Sold 10. Come on 11. Musicology 12. 3121 13. Dear Mr. Man (Seems to be a well known album tune) 14. Cinnamon Girl (only just akes it because of the video) 15. Future baby mama 16. Guitar 17. She Loves Me 4 Me 18. Last December 19. Batdance 20. Trust 21. Partyman 22. Scandalous Sex Suite 23. Chelsea Rodgers [Edited 7/24/07 7:25am]

I'd call it 'The Singles 1994-2007' because it's certainly not a 'best of'

I'm surprised everyone has forgotten Prince's biggest hit of the 2000s..."Call My Name"! Prince's biggest his and most memorable tracks of the last 13 years might look like this:
1.The Most Beautiful Girl In The World 2.Lovesign 3.Letitgo 4.Pussy Control 5.I Hate U 6.Gold 7.Dinner With Delores 8.Betcha By Golly Wow 9.The Holy River 10.Somebody's Somebody 11.The Greatest Romance Ever Sold 12.So Far, So Pleased 13.U Make My Sun Shine 14.Musicology 15.Call My Name 16.Cinnamon Girl 17.Te Amo Corazon 18.Black Sweat 19.Fury (Live) 20.All Along The Watchtower/Best Of U 21.Song Of The Heart 22.Guitar 23.Future Baby Mama The presence of Gwen Stefani and "The Best Of U" would help sales a bit if anyone cared about that. "Best Of U" would lure in hardcore fans who have everything else, and it was probably heard by more people than anything else he's done in a while. [Edited 7/24/07 9:17am]

How can you not like Black Sweat? That's classic Prince and his sound. "New Power slide...."
