I feel so old. Wait that's because I am. I have like Prince and his music since I was 17 years old. Yes, that would make me 40. But, then again lets remember how old Prince is and no one should feel bad about their age. I'm so glad we only have 1 birthday. I would not like 2 go through that again. Love 2 All. Dream Angel Faith I 2 have been hooked since Soft & Wet. I was 13 at the time, so I'm not far behind u on the age thing. But if Prince can still hang, so can we! Where u wanna eat 2nite, baby? I know this dope spot called one another!

It was Gett Off back in 1991. I already made tapes of some P tunes at that time. But the Gett Off video boosted my Prince interest. And when The Symbol Album was released in 1992 I directly bought it. That's when it all started...then one boot , then graffiti brigde, then... I got a ticket for the last show of the euro ONA tour!

It was definitely "do me baby". I blushed and couldn't believe I was hearing what I was hearing. Needless to say, I was hooked after that one.

I, too,was eight when I first heard Prince sing "Soft and Wet"...and I had NO idea what he was talking about Of course, that was during the DeBarge era and stuff on R and B radio...he was different, though.

Paisley Park i was 11. I knew all the Purple Rain, 1999 singles etc, but this song just did it for me. I always loved rock music and this was just a great piece of Psychedelic rock.

I Would Die 4 U was the first song that got me hooked. I first heard When Doves Cry, but I didn't get me excited. Later I learned 2 love that song more (I have almost every cover of it and I love Ginuwine's) I'll have another glass of you.
this time on the rocks. | |

1999 video! It was the same time as MJ and Madonna were new to the scene! Once I saw the camera go up the blondes leg ( Jill Jones?) I was hooke! Hired Purple rain from the vid shop for 10 weeks solid and the rest is History! This was back in 85' I was 13!

Girls and Boys. Because it was so funny. The rest of The Parade made me discover that he was a genius. Some kind of Willy Wonka, living in a miraculous music factory.
These days, I think that he tried to criticize superficial lifes like Christopher Tracy's. But I like the decadence, richness and easy going atmosphere of the album. [This message was edited Mon Sep 30 16:47:57 PDT 2002 by LillianLaughs]

"Little Red Corvette". That track changed my world. Honestly. "Diamonds & Pearls" inspired me to listen to his records, but that track really blew the bank.
