I JUST SAW PURPLE REIGN IN VEGAS!!!1

It is 407am and I just got back from a night out, which included a night at Purple Reign. I loved it. Man, those guys know how to put on a show.

I would totally spend a night there once a week, if I could.

The best way I can describe it, is by saying, it is like, if Prince's movie of Purple Rain, was real life, and going on right now. For those few hours, it sure felt like it.

Damn those boys can sing, and the guy who played Morris, has his shit down.

I've never seen Prince live..but this was a GREAT second place. YAY!!!

Pics coming soon!!! Lets talk about Purple Reign here!!!

Don't like impersonators they make money off somebody else's talent and hard work.

I saw them in Vegas a few years ago, was pretty entertaining. The Morris impersonator's wig was just awful tho, hope he got rid of that by now smile

I saw them a few months ago. The first part of the show was entertaining. But, after they took a break for about 45-60 mins., they'd lost a lot of the crowd and momentum. The lead guy is pretty good, but overdoes the hand gestures way too much and needs to not wear panties that show their lines. razz Having a woman play the part of Michael B was kinda weird too.

As for The Time guys, they were kinda fun, but mostly because they could dance well. But, not like how The Time does, more hip-hop kind of dancing.

What cracked me up is their 'groupies', they even have a name "The Tear Drops' or something like that. lol

Which casino did you see them? I'm heading out that way in a few weeks, and would like to catch their show. I've seen them a few times already, but wouldn't mind seeing them again...

They do a fantastic show. Each set is different. If you have the time to stay, believe me,it's worth it.There is nothing done to tape. The vocals and music is live, and the gentleman that does the Prince impersonation is probably the best out there anywhere. PRINCE himself has seen his show.So if anyone is ever in Vegas, please treat yourself to an eveving of PURPLE REIGN.He is always in the entertainment rooms that are free,or maybe a small cover($5.00).The Santa Fe station casino is away from strip Fri.& Sat's,and on the strip at other casino lounges.Just check the entertainment guides that are given away . Trust me, you could watch them a whole weekend and not be bored. As a matter of fact, a true PRINCE fan would be amazed.I live here,am 59 yrs. old and go as often as I can to get my PRINCE FIX!!!

I don't think all their singing is live, I caught quite a few times where the singer was out of sync with the vocals.

I agree--they were so much fun. Very cheeky, and clearly enjoying what they were doing. I have to say. . .the lead guy (Jason) is actually quite sexy. . .just about a foot too tall! LOL! Nice tight booty, like our man, though.

I highly recommend them, though! A fun night out!

That's a slightly naive comment. For many people bands like this may be their only choice (think the Australian Pink Floyd). Secondly the majority of these bands have a real love and appreciation of the artists they are covering. Have you never heard that immitation is the sincerist form of flattery?

Yes, and flattery is the sincerest form of stamp collecting.

The last time I was in Vegas.. this was on my list to check them out at The Boardwalk Casino (now demolished)... My mother-in-law kinda messed that up for me...

But will be back there in a few weeks..and I hear they are at the Orleans Casino.. I won't miss it this time...

I have heard nothing but good things.. Some of the stuff on their website looks a little cheesy/corny, but it's worth a look...
