sigh

i went on a review search yesterday and for the most part this beast is getting lackluster reviews...still can't wait to hear it though and and hopefully disagree.

Everyone has been dissing it so much, you'll probably find it to be enjoyable.

well, my first impression of the song Planet Earth was disappointing. hopefully the rest of the album will be better received by my ears.

Before I had heard it, I read a review that compared it with Annastetia so my hopes for it were crushed on first listen but I like the song now, not his best but its pretty good.

Prince does what he wants to do. Your opinion doesn't matter to him.

I personally like a few tracks on the album regardless, as always.

My life does not depend on what he does.

Chelsea Rogers is a funkin track!!

ok, prince will never win with how fans/critics/strangers/etc. percieve him. anything new he puts out is "too comercial" a year later. anything he puts out that sounds reminiscent of older stuff is "a rip off." half of you always wine that you miss "Parade Prince", and "Sign o the Times Prince", and then the minute a track pops up that shows an element of a track you've been yearning to see again since forever, it's cheap and he didn't put out enough effort. He's one of maybe four artists right now i consider the strongest out there, and i wish critics and fans could respect his music as such. even if (like this interview) reviews are bad, they fail to compell you to see what's weak with a track, instead they just complain...(sweet little rant, huh? razz )

The title track is an ecological anthem so dopey it makes saving the world sound like a questionable idea

Besides this hilarious comment i agree with most of this review.

I normally like Pitchfork, but that is horrible off-base. Any review that lists "Mr. Goodnight" as the best track is veeeeery suspect.

Pitchfork normally annoys me, so this only helps further their cause.

Mr Goodnight is slammin' headbang
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

clapping clapping clapping Preach the damn truth. Prince will always lose with pretty much everyone and it's sad as hell.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
