He has to change over time.

I'm sure if he stayed EXACTLY the same people would complain about that too.

I like him these days. We know he's still completely capable of doing everything he did back in the day (except the splits of course) so I don't know why people complain.

I just think the JW stuff goes a little far sometimes but otherwise he's still cool.

I think besides the hats he's SMOKING now. Especially for his age, he still looks about 30 to me.

Are you kidding? Did you see that suit he was rockin' at Montreaux? The fit and tailoring were spectacular. drool

Don't u mean the "younger rawer" prince? Many people do and did love that youngster (so did I), but 22 is not 49. Anybody who ever practiced any art will become more polished over time (if they are any good and serious). That young raw Prince will exist long after the Prince (and u and I) are long gone thanks to audio/visual media. I'm sure there tons of unreleased film that will eventually come out. Just try to enjoy the mature adult artist we have NOW. It is a rare opputunity to see one of the greatest ever actually get to have a long career without destroying themselves.

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

He's evolved and moved on and not for the worse.
It would be embarassing for him to still act like he did back in the day when He was rawer with his music and image. For example, The Rolling Stones still prance around the stage like and haven't changed their act. They look like shaking corpses on the stage.
He's matured but still damned sexy.

yea well it is true that he has grown as a person, resulting in a more polished prince. all im saying is that he isnt "hungry" for it anymore because he already has the fame. i think he feels that he cannot make another "purple rain" but he doesnt have to. like if his album planet earth was released in the 80's it would be just at popular as say..diamonds and pearls.

Well, I think that Prince jams on his guitar more now than he did in 1985. I saw him several times here in MPLS on 7/7/7 and he rarely put down his guitar. TO be sure, he is not as "raw" as he once was, but that comes with experience. He's evolved as a performer...

I think Prince will still jam on his guitar for 10 straight minutes if time allowed, I think alot of things have changed and Prince has really tried but little by little the old Prince is easing back in there, you'll notice it if you really pay attention. The deep down soul of Prince will never change.

I'll say the same thing I would have said to you 20 years ago, concerts are for hits, catch him at a small venue show if you can. You might be surprised.
"What kind of fuck ending is that?"

Everybody loves the old Prince! It's the biggest bitch on this site!
I like his new stuff as long as it sounds like Prince. I've said it on many posts here B4, that my main problem with 3121 is it's only half a Prince album. The other half is just his take on the current Rnb crap polluting our airwaves!
But having thought about it, i can see the method of his madness. How else could he pull a new generation of fans!
Either way He is awsome at what he does especially live. And at least hes not doing Purple Rain 2! Unlike Mr Jackson. Be afraid! Be very afraid! Thriller 2 in a music shop near U! SOON! lol

I agree. I saw P in Minn.7/7/07 at Target. I nearly fainted when he sang D Me Baby...quite like back in the day, I thought I would never witness that again...but I did. I think it all depends on his mood and where he feels most comfortable, if you're fortunate you'll see the old P easing back...now if he'll just give me LRC raw I'll be sooooo happy.
