Those of you that LOVE the Prince record Lovesexy but hated the fact that all of the songs are on one track listen up! I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that if you purchase the CD in Europe it comes with all 9 tracks listed separately. So, I went to Amazon UK, order the CD and it arrived this weekend. I put it in my CD player, waited breathlessly and...THE CD PLAYER DISPLAYED 9 TRACKS, YES!!! I've LOVED this CD for so many years; actually it's my favorite Prince record but I hated that Prince put all of the songs on one track. Now I have the CD the way I wanted it (even ITunes offers this album as one track) and I'm a very happy man now.

If you love the Lovesexy record, get it from Amazon UK now!!!

Lovesexy is a beautiful album, one of his very best.

I can see why he presented it as one continuous track . . . there's artistry even in the order of the tracks. From start to finish, it's played out exactly how he intended.

However, 20 years later, it is nice to have those single tracks. Especially when you don't have time to listen to the whole album.

Certain tracks, such as Dance On and Lovesexy seem to get a new life when listened to separately.

hah!, with vinyl or cassette you didn't have this nonsense.

Speaking of which, I've been using my pc as a family album and as my music library. It would now appear I've lost everything.

Although originally released on CD as one continuous track, this album has long been available in tracked format in UK retail outlets - including UK-based online music stores e.g. www.amazon.co.uk and www.hmv.co.uk

I remember when Lovesexy first came out, I rushed out and bought the cassette. On the card it said, "songs are in a continuous sequence"... I was like, "well duh!!!"

Seriously tho. I'm glad there's a tracked version available, but I don't usually listen to this album (my favourite) unless I have time for the whole experience...

Makes me think, if there is ONE Prince album thats needs a reissue in Dolby stereo quality then it is Lovesexy.

So much going on on this record at the same time: those dissonant horn-riffs on Eye Know, the brilliant beat of Alphabet Street, the soundeffects on Anna Stesia, the multilayered title track, the brilliant guitarplaying on Positivity.
