Amazon.co.uk now have Planet Earth avaliable for pre order with a release date of 23/07/07. It doesn't say it's an import.

I didn't think it was getting a UK release.

I don't think anyone said that the album was never going to get a retail release, just that it was indefinitely postponed. Not quite sure who they'll sell to though.

SO why do Amazon have avaliable for order?

Because maybe that's when it's being released?

I imagine this is just Amazon including the global release date in a global database. I'm sure they'd import it for you if you wanted to buy it. Amazon's whole business model is that it can afford to stock and promote stuff that will only get a few sales.

Pre-order info can be unreliable. Amazon was accepting pre-orders for a book supposedly by me that I never wrote a word of, a few years back. I never signed with the publisher, but that didn't stop the marketing people from plugging it, apparently, and Amazon from selling it.
