(It only goes upto 1987, but is the best biography, by one of the main guys at Uptown). Possessed by Alex Hahn (This follows Prince's career upto more recent years. A lot of fans find fault with it because the author tends to dwell on more salacious/tabloid details at times, but Hahn was the lawyer for Uptown during their legal battle with Prince and he had access to their research, so I would say it is a solid read). The Vault (This is not a biography, this is a reference manual, with a detailed chronology of Prince's career, often day-to-day, with further discographies, reviews, detailed out-take information, tour itineries etc, etc).

I hope the first two are available at Borders (I'm going there tomorrow, also to pick up PE)...Yay!
