My biggest complaint about Prince... He is maybe the greatest live performer ever.
He records all of his shows. Yet, he releases so little live performances on DVD. If his fans want a comprehensive look at his career as a live performer , they are relegated to, usually, less than good quality bootlegs. You know we'd gladly spend hellabucks on some good quality DVD's of his tours/performances. I wish Prince and his people would get there thing together and start making/releasing a good comprehensive archive of his back catalog--both live DVD's and his past albums. I mean, Purple Rain doesn't have a remastered CD yet? WTF? "New Power slide...." |
