Homemade albums

Anyone out there make up there own Prince albums from B-sides,outakes etc.

I just put together what if released I believe would be considered a classic.

All the songs have excellent sound so It could pass for a real album

Dream Factory (From Sab's Dream Factory)
Train (From 30 Years of Unreleased Funk)
Splash (NPGMC)
Power Fantastic (B-sides)
Crucial (Crystal Ball with a fade at the end)
Last Heart (Sab's Dream Factory)
Sexual Suicide (Crystal Ball)
Witness 4 The Prosecution
Old Friends 4 Sale (With Strings from The Work Vol 2)
All My Dreams (From Sab's Dream Factory)

Needed to adjust the sound on the Crystal ball tracks as they're a lot louder.

Would have loved to have included In a Large room but There isn't a great sounding copy out there.

Works as the perfect bridge between Parade and Sign.

That does look like a great album...

What software do you use to adjust the volume level of tracks?

I've made up my own The Gold Experience disc. I love it.

Interactive
Pussy Control
Endorphinemachine
Shhhh
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World
Dolphin
Now
Acknowledge Me
Ripopgodazzipa
319
Billy Jack Bitch
I Hate U
Gold

I was going to add Days Of Wild too, but I don't think there was enough room.

The additions of Acknowledge Me and Ripopgodazippa really complement the album.

Cool cd, but I wouldn't put to ballads back to back!

LilCub

I have done Crystal Ball as originally intended:

Disc One:
Rebirth of the Flesh
Play in the Sunshine
Housequake
The Ballad of Dorothy Parker
It
Starfish and Coffee
Slow Love
Crystal Ball
If I Was Your Girlfriend
Rock Hard in a Funky Place
Hot Thing

Disc Two:
The Ball
Joy in Repetition
Strange Relationship
I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man
Shockadelica
Good Love
Forever in My Life
Sign "☮" the Times
The Cross
Adore
It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night

I didn't really thhink It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night would work after Adore aas we are all familiar withh the SOTT sequence, but it actuually works really well. It's like a 'secret' track or encore.

I have no doubt in my mind, as alot of us do, if Crystal Ball had been as it was meant to be, it would have been his masterpiece and the absolute pinnicale of his career.

This is close to my homemade version of Dream Factory.

Visions
Dream Factory
Train
The Ballad of Dorothy Parker
Strange Relationship (Revolution version)
In A Large Room With No Light
Sexual Suicide
Splash
Data Bank (Revolution 12" version)
Joy In Repetition
Its A Wonderful Day
A Place in Heaven (Lisa singing)
Witness 4 the Prosecution
Teacher Teacher
Power Fantastic
Movie Star
All My Dreams

I treat this as an "offical" album in my collection between Parade and Sign and listen to it as much as any other Prince album.

WellInever

I am thinking of buying a USB turntable to put all my 12" on CD. I Know they can be found by other means (and i have many of them) but for some reason i want to do it myself.
