Why did Prince keep the lame Superhero for himself and give the kickass version to the Staples Singers?

What a damn mistake man lol I mean I love the Staples and everything but the version on Blankman is so freakin slammin. Should have been a proper Prince release on at least something like Exodus. nod

You mean The Steeles? The Staple Singers weren't involved (even Mavis). It was credited as The New Power Generation featuring The Steeles, though, and Prince even appeared in the video, I think (although I've never seen it).
