Bass vs Base FYI,bass is a "fish" and base is a "sound". Each time I see "base" misspelled for bass I cringe. Don't mean to offend just want to make it right. Lemme

If u go back to previous threads you will notice that speaking about LG/bass, instead it should be base, he does play base guitar...if I'm not mistaken. The dictionary is most definitely correct. By the way, if u get the chance check out the interview with Larry King and Prince...P address the bass(fish)/base as well. We should be knowledgeable in the usage of these 2 words... Lemme

Sorry, you are mistaken. Bass is most definitely a "low harmonic tone." Larry Graham plays the BASS. So does Prince. Prince can decide to change the definitions of these homophones if he chooses, but that does not change everyone else's reality. Google BASE guitar. You will find ads for guitar "bases" or stands for guitars. If you want to buy a guitar that makes low harmonic tones, you will need a bass guitar. Peace

Man, last time I checked, "bass" could mean fish or "tone/instrument"; while "base" meant/means "foundational premise".
