How is it possible that so many Soundboard boots are getting out? Does Prince usually use the House soundboard person while on tour or bring his own crew. I'm not complaining, just wondering. And how is it determined that only certain shows are released (example: ONA in Chicago, Oakland, and Los Angeles but not Portland, Seattle etc)

If you have the answers let me know.

Where can you get copies of these?

I don't think any of the shows that surfaced from this year's tour is soundboard, only the officialo Live E.P. with 5 songs from Indianapolis is soundboard, the rest is taped from the audience. Taping devices have become so advanced that they sometimes sound like soundboard tapes though.
and some shows did not (yet) surface, because either no-one taped them in decent quality or they're holding out til later.

Not all shows get taped (audience recordings) and not every show that's taped is good enough (sound quality wise). Another thing is that bootleg companies don't see the use in releasing too many shows with pretty much the same tracklist, so they'll pass on shows.

None of the ONA shows are soundboard BTW. Only soundboard material came from the 5 track live promo disc.

okay, then what about "Xenophobia", I haven't heard yet, but apparently it's really good quality. Or all these other famous aftershows and concerts that we've heard before. I'm almost wondering if Prince let's some of these get out because he knows it will interest his fans.
