The old masters like Miles, Marvin, Brotha Ray, Bird, Hendrix, Lennin etc have to be grinning from ear to ear up in Soul/Pop Heaven at what the "Lil One" from Minneapolis has accomplished this past weekend. A stroke of revolutionary vision and genius. He has totally turned the industry on it's head. Controversy
abounds. Profits and worldwide exposure for the artist soars. Irregardless
of how one feels about the album itself, how could you not appreciate
the entrepreneural accumen and sheer balls/kahunas that this brotha possesses.
It was there from Day One and is still present today. Opinions of the CD
are up, down and in-between and this should be expected with an artist
as diverse as this one but how can you not be proud to be a Prince fan...
uhh, i mean "fam" at a moment like this. I know it's been pure delight
for myself and most likely for those artists, living or passed-on, who
have been sodomized by the industry in the past. Viva Mr. Nelson!! Keep
the spirit of those who have come before alive.

Great words playa. Prince is one of a kind. I feel that we are still in the middle of the Prince story with many twists and chapers to go. He is simply better than most people can deal with. Too diverse, too prolific, too bold, and mostly too evolutionary. Those who can't really take it all in throw peanuts from the gallery. Prince is showing us what happens when a genuis musician does not implode but continues to grow and confront the music world. How does the world react to the genuis in their midsts?

After all this time of not getting enough of Prince, suddenly he's all over the place- I love it
