Don't take this the wrong way, but we should all know better than 2 try and predict where Prince will go musically. I'd love 2 hear a guitar album with some nice strings, but I also have learned not 2 set myself up 4 disappointment when it comes 2 his music. So many times his new music has caught me off guard, but somehow I always catch onto it.
Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

Whatever avenue Prince decides to go down in his next project,I hope it has more soul and passion than TRC did .

Much love yes Pochacco

I think TRC is too often labeled a jazz-album or heavily influenced by jazz. There's just as much a soul and a funk influence on that album. The only track which in my ears is mostly jazzy in structure is the title track. Muse is pure neo-soul, family name is pure funk, mellow is pure pop, etc. Most of the songs draw their influence from many styles.
As I understand the Xenophobia album is much more jazzy, but we'll have to wait and see if that one'll be released.

But to get back to the topic...
I don't think there's a prediction possible to what his next album will be like. i hope it'll show the same amazing musicianship as TRC.

I'm guessing more self-righteous church hymns. You know, at this same time next year, many fams are gonna be bitching about the same lousy songs that have been released so far and how they regret plunking down ANOTHER 100 bucks on the club.
