Great song! If you're new to Joni, make spped to get the album that the track is from - "Court & Spark" - you won't regret it. No child is bad from the beginning. They only imitate their atmosphere.

Thanx 4 the tip. Actually i've had "Chalk Mark In A Rain Storm" from 1988 4 years & i always liked it, a few years ago i also borrowed a live album from her 2 a friend & it was cool too! I just download Blue + Court & Sparks. I've only listened 2 "Help me" yet because of TBODP bit i'm quite sure i'll enjoy the rest as well

Probably her two finest albums: Blue and Court and Spark, at least IMO
Blue is a sober, acoustic folk / singer-songwriter album. One of the best albums in that vein ever, i think. Sometimes it snows in april seems influenced by this style. Court and spark is more lush and elaborate, a mix between jazz, pop and folk. Nice orchestrations on this album and when i listen to it i sometimes think: Hey, i have heard Prince using this kind of note of this sort of background vocal in his own songs. To fullfill the Joni-top 3, i advice you to listen to "The hissing of summer lawns" also. Its a more experimental album, very eclectic, a "grower", but a very great one. Prince ones said in an interview this was his favourite album ever.
