o.k. here's some more I know Prince is a Wild Man and extremely Sexual and I wanna know Why he's Controlling himself on Stage? I Know he hasn't changed. Is he Afraid to Sweat or Something? Is Prince Afraid to get Raw and Dirty again? I really wish he'd do that Gothic album and a Punk Album. Damn the Fans would go Wild if Prince was acting like the Rude boy of Dirty Mind. It would Kill Us. And I KNOW he is so why Control it? There is No Reason to. I know he was just5 acting like that Punk at the listening Party and that's cool instead of smoking a ciggarette he was rapping on the Cell Phone. He's Rebellious and a Punk still. Still with the Spit on ya Attitude Punk style. Uptown though, got him but still I woulda been happier being there and no excuse he can't make it up to me cause it's too late. He decided to Purposely do this. I'm leaving him for Mick Jagger and that's it. Yes,Mick has my Heart now. Prince has a Hellava Nerve! And I'm talking to Michael Jackson too. Michael will Welcome me with Open arms and he is Wild and Young ! Prince can stay with Mani I'll have Mick and Michael. Neverland beckons me. Michael had Bubbles the Chimp send me a message and now it's CALIFORNIA! Hip,Hip, Hooray! Beverly Hills has my number baby anhd they told me to call. Kiss,Kiss.. My Lover.

This celebrity culuture we live in makes me want to puke. People craning their necks, pushing, grabbing all in the hopes of getting a good stare in at another human being. And if the trained monkey doesn't act like you want him to and acknowledge your incessant banging on the cage, you'll just move onto to some other celebrity you can suck the life out of. Hey, Prince, I’m a member of your club and I own a piece of your ass. You damn well better please me. Do you know how much I paid for that ass? The least you could do is let me shake it; um, I mean your hand of course.

Of course the celebrities themselves usually aren't innocent in this sick game either. When they want to, they play these situations for all they are worth and in time actually start to believe that they are larger than life and more important than you or I.

Then there is the absolute vacuous Media, anxious to talk to the latest trained rat, some guy from the new "hot" thing in reality garbage. Hey you scratch our backs and we'll be sure to write about your dumpster diving and video store robbery when you fall from that disposable thrown we set you upon. And we eat it all up real good like. Apparently oblivious to the fact that this was a release party and -- good or bad -- they were playing the latest RELEASE. But how can we expect the music media to write about music in these days, really? It just doesn't sell. Jennifer Love Hewitt naked on the cover of Rolling Stone sells. Oh wait a second, excuse me, I think the writer mentioned the volume going up on the second playing of the new album and some waitress giving the maneuver a disapproving glare. Oh, wait a second, you say if Prince had played their sick game they would have written about the music? Hell no. They still would have filled their column with talk of his tiny stature, what he was wearing and how he smelled.

Just play the game, monkey, and we’ll make you popular! How dare you not want to talk to us, we are the MEDIA, we can make or break you, don’t you understand? If you don’t talk to us, we’ll just start writing those recluse stories and making shit up, so you might as well play like a good little monkey.

Fuck this bullshit. If you are paying $150 to go to a listening party for someone you apparently haven't been a fan of for 10 years; you damn well deserve the little miseries life will assuredly throw at you. It's not too late though to seek help and get those priorities straight and wake up to your assassin behavior.

And one last thing, you say if the trained monkey would have just gone to a microphone and said a thank you for coming out or signed your T-shirt or acted more “normal” you would have gone home pleased as punch. I don’t doubt this for a second. No doubt you would have also praised his new music to the high heavens. Yeah, you know that stuff coming out the speakers and apparently the reason everyone was gathered there in the first place. You’re just misunderstood, that neck craning wasn’t for glimpsing Prince at all, that was all about getting your ear closer to the speaker. So how was the record? Oh, never mind.

Prince thanked his guests on NPGMC. I doubt these few tabloid reports were very accurate about the listening party.
And Prince has never been a social butterfly. When he shows up for something like this, he usually sits in the back, in the dark.
It'd be one thing if they couldn't start playing the music till he got there. Then I could see people being upset.
I think the majority of celebrities know that Prince is a pretty shy guy, unless he's in his own "house". And they don't take his shyness as rudeness. Some of these butt head gossip columnists can't even bother to get any facts at all.
It seems that if Prince doesn't kiss "whitey's" ass, some people get all bent out of shape. Where's Miles Davis when you need him. pimp2

I think yes Prince abhors these events. He does them cause he has to. If I were his wife I'd be schmoozing and acting like the Socialite and all being all lovey dovey with the guests and all. You must mingle with the people.

While I do agree with you about gossip columnists, I must point out the blatant hypocrasy of your making such a statement.

You yourself haven't yet provided any 'facts' to support or substantiate your claim of Mani being pregnant, or where you got that information.

C'mon, don't be like one of those "butt head gossip columnists" you despise. Explain where you got your information about Mani's pregnancy, and why you felt it was a good idea to post something like that on a fansite if didn't know it to be 100% fact.
