I can see how that could happen. Prince isn't a one-trick pony like most artists. Musically, he schizophrenic. There are many "personalities" all performing under the guise of one man. Some may be exclusive fans of the synth-funk Prince. Classic songs that fit into this category are Head, Dirty Mind, Controversy, Sexuality, My Private Joy and most of 1999. But the 1 U Wanna See was more of pop rocker Prince like When U Were Mine, America, Why U Wanna Treat Me so bad. It's easy to forget different people prefer different sides of his artistic personality. Personality, I like his versatility and he hadn't performed a song like this in a long time. I adore the 1 U Wanna See. Most of the public would too..if they got the chance to hear it. Everybody copies his synthesizer sound now. Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and others have made a career off of mimicking him. It's nice to see him go in a direction the masses can't easily follow... | |
