Lets not go overboard here it is neither great nor is it rubbish.It is a catchy tune which works in the context of the album and as a first single it may encourage non fans to listen to more and maybe convert a few.

I really like this track but it has one big problem. The fade out at the end. What's that all about? There's a fine solo going on, but then it just disappears. Why not keep it up for two more minutes and end it properly? In fact, keep it up for another 5'46 and forget somewhere here on earth!

Like many other people on here, I see the similarities between Guitar and Peach/Cream. I like the track. Classic Prince...no not for me, but enjoyable enough.It is what it is, a fun singalong pop song. 8/10

He wasted alot of time recording this piece of shit! The 'demo' is MUCH better and would probably be the best on the album if he would have used that version.

I like the version of "Guitar" that is on "Planet Earth" better than I do the one that was released a couple of months back. The album version has a more finished vibe to it. The one that was previously released, at least to me, kind of had a demo feel to it.

Well, I'm sure the whole U2/I Will Follow thing has already been mentioned here, so I'll just leave that, but I seriously can't hear or think of this song without being reminded of those annoying twins and how they played air guitar with their own legs while dancing to it.
