Prince's musical legacy is such that he never need release another note again. It's like when Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard or Muhammad Ali were defeated at the end of their boxing careers by guys who they would have blown away in their prime - it's perhaps sad, annoying even, but it does not take away from their overall greatness.

And as you say, Prince is still pretty fucking great live
