Yes and the sad thing is that fans have been begging for certain types of albums forever and they're finally getting them. But somehow they're still unhappy. These are some of the projects I've heard people jones-ing for for years and when they finally come out, no one seems to care.

solo piano set- One Nite Alone
acoustic album- The Truth
hard rock guitar album- Chaos and Disorder
straight forward funk- New Power Soul
set of rarities- Crystal Ball
return to form- The Rainbow Children
aim at the charts- Rave
live album- to be released soon

now I think there are a few stinkers in there but overall, I'd say he's been very open to his fans wishes and delivered good product.

I agree totally. There's an old saying, "Be careful what you ask for, you just may get it." So you got it, if you didn't like it too bad.

Hey I just enjoying the ride. I've been enjoying the ride for 23 years and just glad I'm still on this trip.

I'm not saying I like every single thing he's done, but I believe that he's truly had and will have more impressionist music for us as time passes.

They said he's a modern day Mozart. Let's not do to Prince what they did to him.

Be himself. No holds barred. Free the music once again. His new music has too many rules.

I would love if he would release some more vault material, if not all of it...

also, just to keep on trucking w/ at least an album a year. He's spoiled us all so much w/ his output that anything less would be unbearable.

I've never not liked any of his releases, just certain songs on certain ones.

I'll always have the ultimate faith in my man to impress, cuz U just can't make something God put in U go away.nod

Of course, this would rely on other people to compile and create (he would edit too much), and unfortunately, I don't think we'll see anything like this until he's dead. As much as I want these box sets, I don't want him dead...

awww, that's so sweet. biggrin

I also want him to release box sets of all of his concerts, from 1979 to the present, so that he can FINALLY win the war over bootleggers.

Why is everyone so hell bent on him releasing vault material???

He's alive and vibrant and can make new music NOW--we'll get all that other stuff later...

Yeah..when he's dead and they release it to keep Paisley Park afloat

Well, I guess you'd better find a way to KILL him then, since you're so convinced it won't happen before then... rolleyes

Miles

1. Make new material with more musicians who are as good as he is, eg. great jazz horn players, even other really good guitarists and keyboard players. These don't have to be big names (preferably not), just excellent players, who he gives solo time to. Just because he can play so many instruments doesn't mean he has has to play them all the time.

2. Surprise us all with something unexpected but great. Maybe a more 'world music' based sound, or a deeper, 'real' jazz direction, or even a convincing electronica/ drum n' bass type album. As long as it still sounds like Prince (which I'm sure it would!), it would be cool.

3. Release more Vault material, and in a systematic, chronological way.

4. Prince can't do this himself, but he deserves more respect from the general public and critics. Great artists only seem to really get this when they're dead. If he'd passed on in 1988, he'd probably be as big as Hendrix now ... But keep on livin', man! We love ya!

I want Prince to...
Stop shoving his religious beliefs down my throat.
Get the NPGMC in order.
Start making videos again.
Divorce Larry Graham.
Never make a "New Master" of an old classic.
Get a decent official website up & running.
Be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame like he deserves 2 be.

Other than that, he's perfect.

I feel u scotty. These fools missed your point and proceed to carve prince up into a thousand pieces. So concerned on who and what they want prince to be that they miss the person he is right now. I appreciate every thing he does cause i know the ride wont last. i'm enjoying the parade as it goes by not worrying about the parade that came before or the one that could be.

Prince is still brilliant. All u have to do is loss your expectations/preconceptions and roll with it. You all need to really listen to "Pearls before the swine".

I feel that he is and has always been doing great with his music career. I love his movies and wish that he would make more of them. He has so many talents and has been testing them out, and to me if they are selling so well or at least have in the past I dont hink we shouls really say that he is not that good. However this is to everyone's opinion here.
I say keep up the great work prince and I am behind you and all your talents all the way! smile I haven't lost faith in you. smile

- Give me a fair shake for my $100/year (or $8.33 per month).

- Deliver on his promises.

- Record a full blown raw funk album a la "Days of Wild" and "Calhoun Square".

- Improve his customer service and communication @ NPGMC.

- Lay off freemyheart.com.

- Keep me guessing and off guard musically.

- Keep on keepin on.

- Back off of me with his religous beliefs and his occasionally self righteous version of 'the truth'.

- Bring the spontaneity (sp?) of his aftershows into his tour dates. Quit doing the same show every night.

- Never make another movie unless it's a concert film or a cameo role.

- Make a TV appearance every now and then.

- Continue to record; release all of the stuff that Warner Bros. supposedly stifled all of the time.

- Have natasha arrested and jailed for stalking.

He looks better now and Sexier now than ever. I just want him to try different stuff. Imagine what kind of effort we could get since he's so Creative? My Goodness the music and Masterpieces this Talented Genius can create. One can only Fathom.
