Yer welcome! It was my first time there, too. It was interesting to put a physical place to the music if that makes sense.

It's the "Vault" It's not the vault. There never was anything in the "egg" except storage, because there never was a specific purpose for the building,or the purpose of it would change on a weekly basis. Now its just fancy storage. There is an underground tunnel that connects it to Paisleys'basement garage. Prince has a private apt on the 2nd floor in the rear of the studio complex never had one in the egg. There are 3 full time employees year round. Even while Prince was temporarily living in Vegas and Cali, he would fly back to Mn at least once a week.Paisley Park is the nerve center of his world,he doesn't like to be away from it too long

This is a perfect exemple how to make a ugly circular building, this one on the other hand is a good one: but then again, Mario Botta is an architect ...

utopia7 said: yeah I agree with malbena ... the past weekend did not come close to the celebration AT ALL! there was too little time btwn shows to really take it all in it was a whirlwind exciting nonetheless
Especially when the cellys time also included the Friday night parties where Prince was much more accessible.

Orgnote me and fill me in on what I missed. The cellys were a lot of fun, I wish Prince would go back to doing them again. it sucks that we didn't bump in2 each other at the celly nancy but honestly, he can never recreate that magic that week and he knows it man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I was hanging out with Maria (Lady Cab Driver) and her friend, as well as a couple of other people. That celly week was magical, it's something I will never forget. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Nah, nothing too personal Well, a couple month ago, I met Girl66 from the org. We met and camped out at Macy's where we met CarrieMPLs and Endorphin. Really nice people! Girl66 and I remained friends since then. On 7/7/7, we arrived at Macy's at about 2.30 and they had already let in the people in line by giving them a red wristband (probably to avoid them from staying the the heat), so we stand in line and our Princey was already late and started his soundcheck. We were treated very nicely by the Macy's people and got in the auditorium at 5.05. The show began right away. Morries Hayes on keyboard and my dream coming true the ONLY SHEILA E arrived. I was so busy staring at her that I missed Prince coming in the side of the stage. He played the first four songs non-stop almost like in a hurry and gave no eye contact to the public. Then, finally he started talking to us and kept playing the last 3 songs. He then asked us if we wanted to hear something old or something new and we didn't even have time to answer that he said "how about we play both?" so we all screamed and enjoyed. Then he left and came back for an encore after trading his sweaty black shirt for a white one, he only played one song and told us he had to go back to the other place. Target Center didn't let us in until about 9.30. We were mad and Girl66 and I about to faint from the heat and low blood pressure. We finally got in and didn't get out for another hour. Wendy was on stage, another dream come true. I loved when he called her his best friend and when she came behind him and cuddle him by posing her head on his left shouder. I wish it had been me. I also like when he introduced Sheila E to the public and since we didn't seem to clap loud enough, Sheila E started leaving, Prince took her by the arm and brought her back telling us: I said Sheila E so we clapped louder and she started playing. He also grabbed one of the Twinz by the arm and asked her to sing Lalalalalalala from Sheila's song. At some point, he had a fan sing a song and he did wonderful. He also had a couple fans on stage and stared at one of them laying in front of the public like if she was crazy. I'm sorry I can't remember titles, order or other details, I was just in Heaven. Wow, glad you had such a good time. I regret not being able to go, but I can't afford it financially, at this point in time. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
