Does anyone know much about the powder blue and yellow Fender Stratocasters thta Prince plays? These seem to have a bridge humbucker pickup and neck single coil with locking trems rather than the standar 3 single coil pickups.

Are these made especially for Prince or are they a regular model?

I certainly don't know but I can't imagine Prince playing an off the shelf guitar.

I knew a guitar tech at Fender who was assigned to Darryl Jones (bass player for the Rolling stones) and he not only maintained the axes, he custom built them beforehand.

I think any top tier guitarist of note is going to have to have customized equipment to achieve their signature tone.

Don't know anything about them, but he's using them most of the time on
this tour. Oh, and it's actually an orange strat (not yellow).
