I'm assuming that's P on the keys in "Riverside"? Who's on drums?

Not sure but I don't think Prince was on stage for that part of the show. May have been Renato on keys. Pretty sure Prince left for a moment while the horns played and then returned for the next tune.

the horns were OVER THE TOP all day saturday. they were doing some really complex, really amazing stuff, especially during their showcase at the aftershow. i've never been a huge fan of prince's love of horn sections, but i have to admit they won me over last weekend. nod

Great, Prince!
Thanks for sharing with the fans.
It would be great if Prince´s site was a place with more music and news. I didnt like the concept of the ´club´ where you had to login for everything...

And Prince records so much music...it would be cool if he shared more things with the fans (like he did with Habibi back in the day)...

and that ending was such a throwback to the SOTT and Lovesexy horn days... wow this seems like such a good show

Why, oh, why couldn't the clip be of "3121"? To me, that was the best song of the night (well, of the Target Center and First Ave shows - I didn't see the Macy's gig).

Look at me - I've been wanting to see Prince play First Ave for 23 years. I finally did - and already I'm whining.

Please ingnore me.

clapping I know, right? Isn't it funny how so many people who WERE NOT THERE have so much complaining to do. The show was phenomenal. I am 32, and it was not old people's music. It was real music, which knows no boundaries. It is such a pleasure to actually hear real live horns in music today. I love the horn section. The show was a mix of old and new, covers and originals. They could have picked anything to play and not gone wrong. But some people are never satisfied, they just like to complain, even when they weren't there, and are trolling for bootlegs. rolleyes

His voice was perfect, and "Down By the Riverside" kicks. Yeah, I'd love 2 hear the rest of this show in this quality.

Sounded 2 times better than Target Center show.

That's Renato on keys and Cora on drums. Also, the horns were definitely live that night. I was right up front. They were great all night. The version of "When the Saints..." that they played to open at Macy's was brilliant!

What the fuck is wrong with you ? I don´t like the song Satisfied and the other songs I mentioned, I didn´t say the show was bad, I don´t like that snippet and too many horns , especially trombones, that´s all...I find that snippet on 3121.com boring, and that´s my opinion..I´ve seen more shows than you might think, and no, I´m not trolling for bootlegs, in fact I turned down a lot of bootleg offers lately because I find some of the stuff really lame for exactly the reasons I mentioned. If you don´t know people, don´t try to speak for them
.
You could have replied in a more civilized and grown up manner like Anx did who probably could relate to what I wrote considering the horns, and I like what he wrote because he might be right , the show probably was very good but still , if I don´t like that snippet and that music and those horns, then that s my opinion....don´t go all psycho on me or accuse me of trolling for bootlegs.

Not of Audio Hijack. I'm not sure if there are any other apps that do the same for the PC in as high a quality, there are a lot of these cool little apps for Mac that work so well. iShowU captures video streams or whatever is going on on your screen plus high quality audio, for example. I got it and used it on some of the Live Earth stuff, for example and it worked great! I'm so glad I switched to a Macbook Pro last year.. wink

Yeah because cussing, referring to the horns as "old people music" and calling the writers at 3121.com fools is soooo grown up and mature. I can only hope to be like you when I grow up.

Alright I like this version of Satisfied much better than the other other they had up from Vegas.

As for "Down by the Riverside" it reminded me of church. No biggie. Hell it's better than when he was playing "How Much Is That Doggie In the Window" during the Parade tour. neutral
