Prince vs. Prince?

In the "The time are overrated" thread no one denied that Prince essentially was the mastermind behind the first 2 Time albums. So let's use our imagination a bit and think...
1. If those 2 albums were released as Prince albums, how would you compare them to the rest of his 80s output?
2. Remembering those old VS. threads (ATWIAD vs. Parade, Controversy vs. Dirty Mind etc..) Which two albums would you prefer, the 1st two Time albums if they were released as Prince albums, or Dirty Mind and Controversy?
chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads

1. I think it would be like a predecessor to the Black Album, i.e the Time albums displaying a bit more of his Funk/RnB roots laced with more macho lyrics compared to the first Prince albums.

2. The Time albums contain some real gems like 777-93 11 and Get It Up but the title song of Controversy and stuff like Private Joy, Annie Christian and Do Me Baby or Dirty Mind´s When U Were Mine and Head make the Prince albums a tad more interesting, IMO.

Good thread but...what I really would like to see is the face of a twentysix year old Prince when you make him listen to his albums from 1993-2007. I like all phases and eras but I really wonder what his reaction would be, especially when he hears certain songs.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I was going to do that next! Like, what would Purple Rain prince think if he heard 3121, what if 1999 Prince knew how his career would unfold, would he still go through with ATWIAD, better yet, what if Sign 'O' The Times Prince think if he heard Rave and Newpowersoul. I wonder about these kinda things all the time

lol
