I don't think many orgers can say they've seen this, but I've managed to come across some RARE live footage of a show from the Controversy tour. Now some of y'all might've seen the Houston gig from December of 1981, but I found a show from D.C. from November. It's just as rockin', just as funky, and has that New Wave sound that I live for.

This is the Prince I'm digging. The old school New Wave/Punk/sexfunk superhero that I love. "Planet Earth" may be a good album or it may not. I'm reserving judgement until I actually hear it. But I'll bet it won't be nearly as inspring to me as this rare artifact from a great period of Prince's career.

Oh yeah, and I didn't like how there were perms and 'fros blocking the cameramans view on certain parts.

It's cool 2 see Sexuality and Annie Christian being performed, how bout those odd red pants though, lol.
