Music advice for road trip??????????? Hello all, in about four hours I'm traveling to Kentucky to see my boyfriend, and I want Prince to keep me company for the ride, maybe with a little help from The Time of course. It takes four and a half almost five hours to get there. I only have these albums with me in the car.
1. Prince 2. Dirty Mind 3. 1999 4. Purple Rain 5. Around the World in A Day 6. Sign "o" the times 7. Diamonds and Pearls 8. The Hits 1 9. The Hits 2 10. Come 11. The Gold Experience 12. The Very Best of Prince 13. The Rainbow Children 14. Musicology 15. 3121 16. Ultimate * Plus I also have the first three albums by The Time. Which albums should I listen to in what order. I don't want to listen to them in chronological order. That's boring I do it all the time. Give me a play list. I can't decide. Remember I only have four and a half hours.

If you don't have an iPod and can't shuffle all your songs, then maybe stack the CDs in a random order and go with it.
Then, when you get back buy an iPod or mp3 player. Greatest inventions ever!

I'd close my eyes, mix them up, then just load 'em. With those choices you're bound to hear something good for the most part.
I agree with Rodeo, though! Get an mp3 player or iPod. Greatest inventions ever! [Edited 7/9/07 12:25pm]

yeah, i have a pretty standard cd player in my car but it does
play mp3 discs. just load up to 100 songs in good quality onto that and you're ready to go. put that baby on shuffle and you get the best back 2 back ones ever lol. stuff you would never dream of playing like that and it usually all sounds great if it's only prince on the disc and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

ah yes, when you're going really fast on the highway, in particular the title track is just an amazing song to listen to and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
