The 1 U Wanna C + Wendy & Lisa Not sure whether the Mods will close this but I wanted to talk about this specific song rather than the PE album?
Listening to this several times now I don't really pick up on the "country feel" others have mentioned. However, it most definitely is reminiscent of the 85/86 Revolution era songs. It would fit very comfortably onto the unreleased Dream Factory album. Okay this is unsurprising as it features Wendy & Lisa. It's not an amazing song but is fun and upbeat. It's kind of throwaway in the way that "Teacher Teacher" was. What do others think of this song? On another point. Do you think that Prince working with Wendy & Lisa again ("[Wendy] one of my bestest friends") might signal a chance for some of the Revolution Vault tracks to finally see the light of day? 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

it reminds me of a song that could have been on 'dirty mind'...maybe because it reminds me a bit of 'when u were mine'. i think with a longer guitar break it could be a really memorable song...it feels really abbreviated the way it is now. but yeah, it's pleasant and likeable enough...

40+s will dig it. Beatles?? beatles? hmm, i think "all the midnights in the world" sounds a lot more like something the beatles might have done. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I've not heard all the songs on the album (apart from the 30" clips) but gotta say that while I like one or two bubblegum pop type tracks on a Prince album (like this one) I hope the album is "heavier/more edgy" to give it depth.
In otherwords on SOTT we have Play In The Sunshine and Starfish & Coffee but we also have The Cross and many others. 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally.
