So I'm leaning towards the possibility that it just felt like the right thing to do on one particular day. Maybe it was the 7th day of the month and Prince was flipping thru the channels and at 7:07 this video was at it's :47 second mark and he saw it as a sign.

It's one thing to wear something that's fitted...it's another to wear something that seems to be both holding you in and reshaping you. And in this case it's crazy because Prince doesn't really have anything to hold in.

It reads as a girdle. At least make it into a Jacket or vest with the fitted mid...then it looks like something new altogether.

There are some ladies clothes that men should only wear at home. But it's not even that...it's the item of clothes, it's how it's done and it's the CD that he chose to do it on. There doesn't seem to be a marriage. There's nothing uptight, stuffy or repressed about the CD and yet that's what the cover suggests. Sure, a girdle could work, but I don't think it works in this case.
