prince likes to reinvent to a point, so maybe he is trying to erase a lot of his history so peopel concentrate on the music hes puttin gout in the present rather than the past? he muzzles old material but gives us new stuff for free! he might only want to put out there and have out there who he is in the present rather than who he was in the past..?
