Prince shifting his base to Europe from L.A.

New York, July 3 : American musician Prince is done with his gigs in LA and has reportedly decided to pack his bags from Dodge and reside in Europe.

According to a source, the singer who is taking home more than 5 million dollars for his Hollywood Roosevelt hotel performance, has decided that it will be his last show in LA and plans to settle down in Europe.

"Prince has told people these are the last concerts he will ever play in L.A., and when he's done, he's going to go live in Europe," the New York Post quoted the source, as saying.

The 'Purple Rain' star who is residing at the California hotel for playing a seven-show run made the staff revamp his room with his logo on the wall.

"He made the hotel recarpet the penthouse suite in white shag carpeting and place a huge purple 'Prince' logo on one of the walls," the source said.

Meanwhile, the R and B singer is set to perform at Hamptons Social, at the Ross School in East Hampton on July 14.

He is also scheduled to launch a 21-show run at London's new O2 Arena beginning Aug. 1.

I'm kind of surprised since he's cleaning up Paisley Park/the drama that's going down in the UK/WHY WON'T YOU COME TO THE EAST COAST FOR CHEAP YOU GIANT PURPLE TEASE.

Europe sounds good to me, even better Ireland - its grand over here and no-one ever bothers the celebrities when they are here

If he can go to the UK, he can come to the East Coast because it's definitely a shorter trip.

As much as I'd love this to be true (the moving to Europe part that is) I think this is just a misinterpretation of what he said during the UK 3121 press conference regarding last concerts for a while before taking a break to study and travel and the rumour of living in a tent for a couple of months. And the way Prince gets bored, even spending 2 months in London will probably have him itching to get back to mini apples anyway...

The house next to mine is still for sale. He's welcome over here. I'm looking forward to jam with him every mothafocking night.

It's pretty much that way in many parts of Canada too! Canadians may get excited about some things but celebrities can pretty much go unbothered here. I have heard that many celebs have homes here...particularly the interior parts of British Columbia....medium to large cities with lots of HOT sun, beautiful beaches and lakes, and vineyards! British Columbia is a four season playground!

Even if it is true, he could change his mind tomorrow. He seems to have a history of saying he's not gonna do something and doing it anyway or vice versa. Still hoping he'll come to my area soon....!!!!!
