I remember posting in a thread where orgers wrote what they would have Prince do for his next album... this was sometime after 3121 but before Planet Earth was announced... can someone help me find this?

due to some orgnotes between me and another orger we came to the conclusion that since prince hasn't done a lot of straight up funk songs the he dedicate a whole album to it, and... .....PROMOTE THE HELL OUT OF IT!! Try and get his vids played, get air time, make appearances on numerous shows, get out there.

Some hard funk. A track with The "Original" Time hook up with some former bandmates (1979-1984)

Anyways. I would have Prince in a city not his own, lock him up in a very small, not very elaborate studio, with a few people that are able to challenge him on his own level and see what happens.

In the studio; a piano, a synth, a drum, a bass, a few guitars and that is it.
In the lounge; albums by Ladytron, Junior Boys, White Stripes.

Behind the desk, someone with ideas. Someone that is man/woman enough to tell Prince that something might sound a bit lame or corny.

I wouldn't do anything at all. I would do the 21 nights in London and then some other dates in Japan, Australia and the states.

Then just as the tour was finished, I would release the last single from 'Planet Earth'. Then, I would all but disappear from the public eye just over a year and a half while all the sensation dies down of course haha.

During that year I would contribute one new song to the soundtrack of a summer blockbuster which would be a huge hit and also get me nominated for an Oscar for best original song for 2010.

Of course I would win the Oscar for 2010. My triumphant and much anticipated return to the public would be on the stage at the Academy Awards ceremony where I would collect my 2nd Oscar and per4rm the song for a crowd of billions to a standing ovation, and the main reason why the 2010 Oscars would be voted the most watched ever.

The next day I would hold a press conference and announce that my new album was going to be available in stores tomorrow morning and they were being dispatched to record stores all over the world as we speak!

I would then stand up from my chair & click my fingers. Behind a room full of reporters from all over the world and also the live net and TV broadcasts, a curtain would open and reveal my band who starts playing the intro to the title track of my new album.

Everyone roars in applause and my picture is taken from a billion cameras as I walk towards my bodyguards who make an aisle for me through the crowd, to the stage. I jump up on to the stage where someone hands me my guitar (the oldest one), and I launch into the 1st verse of my song.

For the next 57 minutes I perform all 11 tracks from the new album live on TV, online and in front of the media. When I am done the room explodes in applause and cheer as copies of the new album is handed out to everyone.

And they LOVE ME.
