You guys are making it hard for me to hold out on seeking the leaked tracks ...but I'm sticking to my guns. I am going to wait until the album is officially released.

The early reviews sound promising.
Can't comment until I hear the whole thing. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

You should- the leaked album's quailty is low-n-crappy... but the album itself is GREAT!!! Can't wait for the real deal! Socks still got butt like a leather seat...

Or a CD-quality leak, anyway I'm not sure, but the low quality might have turned me off of the 4 remaining tracks I hadn't heard until today. but i've only heard them once so far. Low and crappy makes Prince's unreleased music sound better. I can't tell you the amount of times I listened to unreleased material, loved it, but when it came out in perfect quality it wasn't as good as I thought. Crappy quality is fine by me, it gives the music more of a mystique. "Don't you think one of the charms of marriage is that it makes deception a necessity for both parties?"

No, this is the kind of low-n-crappy that sounds like mud. Socks still got butt like a leather seat...

No, this is the kind of low-n-crappy that sounds like mud. yeah, i prefer a 5th generation maxell tape sound to an underwater mp3 sound. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Prince + Nursery Rhymes = Planet Earth Cd
If you know anything about music, you know what that means.

Resolution reminds me of that Foo Fighters song with the video in the style of the Mentos commercials from the early 90's. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Planet Earth - 9. Great song Guitar - 7 Good pop tune. Probably fits well in the album. Somewhere Here On Earth - 9.5 One of his most sensual ballads ever. The vocal treatment is very well done. Extremely sexy. It's like a mix between something from PARADE and Emancipation. Future Baby Mama - 8. Standard Prince ballads he can write in his sleep. But the vocals and vibe is smoother than anything he's done in years. The One U Wanna C - 8 standard pop song. Infectious though. Feel good song Mr. Goodnight - Haven't heard this one yet. Mr. Goonight - 7 I actually like this song. Some of the lines in it are hilarious and witty. And the chorus is catchy. Chealse Rogers(sp?) - 8. Seems a bit inflated to me. It's a fun track and has a great vibe to it. Possibly single material, but not the strongest track. Lion of Judah - 8.5 Wow. Great Graffiti Bridge meets Rainbow Children Anthem. Not over done but the harmony is tight. Resolution - 9 My favorite track right now. Great Harmony. All the Midnights of the World - 8.5 Again, great harmony. Overall this album will only suffer for one reason in my opinion): Timing. If it was released after SOTT or LoveSexy people would be all over this thing calling it genius and "Return to form" and all that other shit. It's a great, tight album, exceeding 3121 and Musicology in both radio friendly songs, harmony, and overall theme--this album seems very tightly knit together with 2 hiccups (Mr. Goodnight, and Future Baby's momma). It seems made a real effort to make this an album filled with harmony. It's sounds like a progression of the Revolution material. I am totally stoked about this CD being released now!

I love the album. I don't think it's lightweight at all. It harkens to alot of the college music that was udner-the-radar in the 80s (10,000 maniacs, Edie Brikell, etc.--smoothed out on the Revolution tip. )

When Prince was under the radar he was edgy, raw and lo-fi with a lot of energy. This sounds like Prince lit an incense candle, sipped some herbal tea and asked a buddhist monk to write him a guitar riff.
