I thought I heard that Prince would be one of the televised performers for this Saturdays Earth Day Concerts on 7/7/7 !?! What is going on with that and will the Target Center performance be apart of the broadcast ?

I was wondering the same thing...Al Gore was on Larry King tonight and said there will be a surprise...

hmmm They could do a live remote hook up and televise it. Though Ive seen the line up and I cant afford to waste my time on it.

If he does Im sure it will be out there floating around.

Doesn't P play 3 performances already? The macy thing, 1st ave and staples.. It might be hard for even Prince to also slip in yet another performance.. so i guess the video linkup would be the best bet, if anything happens at all

MN is an hour behind NJ correct? I'll have to make sure I'm in my seat around the time Macy's should start. If the Target show is broadcast, that will coincide with the other top acts- I know I'll be sitting by then. Really looking forward to seeing Roger Waters for the first time, and of course, The Police!

I personally think there will be a live transmission from his concert in Minneapolis. Maybe 1 or 2 songs.

I don't think he will be a part of it. I don't think he has time with all his own performances on that day, a video link-up would perhaps be a possibility but tricky without a lot of planning, a tv crew, and the time zone difficulties. They have plenty of acts, I reckon they won't be falling over themselves to accomodate Prince.

Since I am "Stuck" in Atlanta, and cannot make it back to my hometown of Minneapolis, I will be glued to the Live Earth concert since Prince MAY BE one of the Suprise guest after all! I have seen several websites stating this, and here is one I found that whispered toward it! Gettin sushi, wine and some cookies and kickin back! 7-7-07!!! Did iTunes Goof Reveal Prince As Secret Live Earth Performer?

So, the iTunes homepage is now featuring this nifty little Live Earth playlist “packed with a hot track from every artist on the bill” according to the accompanying blurb. In addition to songs from Madonna and the Chili Peppers, curiously, “Purple Rain” is track four. The funny part? Prince hasn’t been announced for the event. Our theory: Organizers have mistakenly leaked one of their “surprise headliners.” The singer, whose album Planet Earth comes out July 24, would add a little oomph to the New York lineup, which includes The Police and Kanye West, but kinda drops off after that.

it appears that Bravo is airing it for many, many hours. i have the dvr set to record on it pretty much all saturday.

It seems if u have the Universal HD channel they will be brodcasting all day as well from 3am CDT to well into early Sunday. My dvr is eet there.
