unremarkable

Prince & Jeff Buckley

I guess the two have never worked together, sadly, but has either of them ever commented on the other?

Jeff said several times The Smiths and Prince got him through the 80's musical drought. Everybody Here Wants You was described by his guitarist Michael Tigue as "Jeff's Prince song, as was "Last Goodbye" which in it's pre-pubscent demo form sounds a little Princey. They also shared a jacuzzi once in Tokyo, with Jeff telling Q Magazine "he's one ugly bastard without the make-up".

Yeah. Prince actually took the piss and drowned him in a Jacuzzi in Memphis in 1997.

Jeff said "Everybody Here Wants You" was inspired by his love of Prince.

I'm concerned by your use of present tense there, unremarkable. You know Jeff is dead right?

Was that directed at me?

Yeah, I know. His father Tim died too (via drugs). Sorry about the grammar.

No it wasn't. That's why I used the name of the original poster. I apologize for the confusion, and I'll use the "reply with quote button" next time.

sadly, Prince only seems to listen to R&B nowadays. I doubt he even knows who Jeff Buckley was.
