Introducing My Partner To Prince

I'm generally of the opinion that everyone likes Prince, but some of them don't know it yet. Sadly my partner, an affecionado of techno, trance and 80's synthpop, falls into this category.

I know he will submit realise eventually, we're already making headway. Last night we did the rumba across the kitchen to Te Amo Corazon whilst dinner was cooking, he sang two words from Cinammon Girl last week (although they were the title words and they were out of tune) and when I sang Housequake he screamed 'bullshit', even if it was in the wrong place.

So my question to you is 'how would you introduce Prince's music to someone and make them realise how much it rocks?'
I'm looking out for a purple dolphin.

Techno and trance are not music. They are bullshit.

Dunno about Scandinavians in regular but I'm hella picky lol
Ok so, I don't like metal music, but I acknowledge the fact that there are skilled metal musicians out there. Same goes for rock, pop 'n' a lot of genres. Techno and trance on the other hand... that shit ain't even music... disbelief

I thought you Scandanavians loved metal! Well, if last years Eurovision entry (and winner) is anything to go by!!!

Back to the topic - I have learned through the years that you cant force Prince on people, God I remember back in 88-00 forcing my boyfriend of the time to sit though my worshipped SOTT and Lovesexy Tour tapes, talking him through every song, move and the band! Maybe thats why he left? lol

considering the music he's already into, i'd put the 1999 album in front of him, i guess.
