I don't think so. I think he's referring to the Daily Mail Prince CD giveaway thing - wondering if Prince was doing this to gain some momentum because he's worried the 21 nights in London aren't selling out. I might be wrong though. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |

don't know what's going on with this thread, it was full length, but Ive had trouble with the org today, anyway;
Bisically, has Prince 'bitten off more than he can chew'??? although there are many good reasons for giving the new album away, is there a possibility that he's concerned that trying to get up to 400,000 people to attend his 'O2' shows is being a little optimistic?? I always thought that it was going to be very difficult in the UK, I mean he has nowhere near that kind of fanbase, and Europeans are never going to make those kind of numbers up in my oppinion. I would LOVE to be proven wrong, but he will look stupid if all them shows are only partially full. They may say the shows are sold out, but no way, not in the real world. Prince may have been payed, but most of them tickets are with ticket touts,scalpers,ticket agencies,tour companies,ebay-a-holics, etc. | |

I just haven't seen anyone say that the MAIN reason for the give-away would be what I suggested. Just a theory, I'm well aware he's been through plenty in the past, that has nothing to do with my point. Just think REALISTICALLY 400,000 seats is a lot to fill, anywhere, let alone London. | |
