Out of the ones I love, I gotta say "I hate U" and "Lets Work" are my two faves. i also love Dr. Finks Musicology extended version...

Followed closely by Mountains. The reason I went with Theives even though I love Mountains more is that the extended version of Theives totally adds to the song and opens it up. The regular length Mountains was perfect as it is, and didn't need the extended stuff, even though it was great.

Yeah, Thieves in the Temple is incredible. But tied for first place for me is the extended version of La, La, La, He, He, Hee, a funk bomb. "Yo, relative, you just gonna play the line over and over? Gimme this!" What comes next is absolutely essential Prince.

Fuck! Lost my long, thoughtful post.

Anyway, I think his extended versions are some of the most impressive work that he (or anyone else) has ever done.

Nearly all of them are among my favorite Prince songs.

That said, I'm really partial to "I Wish U Heaven Part 1, 2, 3", "Mountains" and the "Around the World in a Day" stuff.

I haven't heard many extendeds

but I love the extendeds for
"I Wanna Be Your Lover" and "Sexy Dancer"

The extended remix version of Housequake is off the chain also. It's even funkier that the origional

awwww i guess i have not heard any of these extended versions. Not even the "I hate u" one.

i was thinking, apart from when it was trendy to do "dance remixes and ext'ds in the 80s and even since, has an artist EVER done as many extendeds as P has/does? he makes the single exciting. i think he made artists be more creative with their B-sides (usually non-single "filler type" album trax).
