I'm So Proud to Be a Prince Fan Right Now Seriously. I don't care if PE does well or not, if any songs are hits, any of that. But I absolutely love the stuff he's doing right now. Releasing three songs to radio at the same time, giving the album away at concerts and in the Sunday paper, pissing off the industry. All of it is iconolastic and wild in the best way. He's living up to the promise he made in 1985 about causing "much ruckus" as long as he's alive. I don't love everything Prince does, but the events of the past week or two have made me really happy. | |

You're right. Traditionally tours and concerts have been to promote an album but it appears that Prince has turned this on it's head by using the single and album to promote the O2 & LA concerts by releasing dates for the gigs ahead of the date for the album.

I don't understand how somebody could feel proud, in the sense that it makes themselves feel good about themselves, by what somebody who has absolutely nothing to do wth them does.

There's a huge correlation. Haven't you ever seen a good musician perform? A great musician? A mediocre musician? There's a big difference. i have a lot more in common with prince than the chicago bears LOL although i love them.i'm little, cute and freaky i just missed out on the musical genuis part LOL. i'm also inconventional cryptic and rebelous and i can relate to a lot of the stupid and smart things the guys does. atheletes may represent a community but with free agency we cant be in love with them like we used to, college is different though. as a lover of boxing i "feel" for certain fighters even though they dont always win. | |

I say that I am proud of him, because all of this success is making me feel good.When he was'nt doing that well and people were calling him a hasbeen I still thought he was all that.But now he's proving he's still got it ,it just feel good to know all of the doubters were wrong.I knew it was just a matter of time. He just had to deal with the death of his son, father, mother, and other things in his life like any other human being. | |
