no, but he NEEDS to cover "win" from the young americans album before i have to sit down and write an angry letter!

I'm with you on that. It's one of my most favoritest songs ever. And I've always said that he'd do a killer "Somebody Up There Likes Me". nod

I know what you asked.....I'm just asking why should he cover Bowie? I think he has better things to do thats all.

confused

what an odd statement. the man has been playing covers for his entire career. hell, half his setlist for the last year has been covers, hasn't it?

I have no issue with him doing covers.....I'm just not into Bowie.
Why not have him do a Willie Nelson cover then?

Now, now...

Why not?

And WHAT better things could he be doing? I would loooove to hear your obviously enlightened take on that...

He could revamp some of his earlier tunes without the curses he won't utter anymore, he could cover some other artist I'm into. I'm no David Bowie fan.

That would be nice, if he could pick the right song. But when he's done covers of Joan Osbourne, Sheryl Crow, Salt & Pepa, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, etc., why you would single out Bowie as someone he shouldn't cover seems odd biggrin

I listened to "Scarlet pussy" and the Diamond Dogs intro and I don't get it. What's the similarity?

shrug are you into all of the artists he'd done covers of? because you're not into them should preclude him from doing covers by them? odd.

The names you mentioned in your previous post, yesI'm into them, even though I'm not a Michael Jackson fan I like his ballads. I was interested in one Bowie song which was "Let's Dance" that's it. Why would I want to hear my favorite artist cover some song I don't particularly like to hear? Wouldn't that be even more odd?

Obviously you're into Bowie, nothing wrong if you are but his music bores me.
