stay with me for a minute mods. i know this is really a topic for the
site discussion but since most folks on this forum probably never get
to visit that part of the site i really want to say this over here.

since about a year we've been having more and more threads started on
this forum with very misleading thread titles.

i don't know if it's just a tease by people or ignorance but it's got
to the point where it's pretty boring and just not fun.

thread titles that read

"new prince album with wendy and lisa!!!!!"
-turns out to be someone dreamt about this and shares their dream

"prince died!"
-someone theorising on what might happen if prince dies and what
will become of all the music in the vault

"planet earth LIVES!"
-someone's downloading a leak and before hearing it they post the
new album is out there. fcuz this turns out to be a fake. in the
meantime 3,789 visits to the thread

"Stand Up, Step Back" NEW prince song"
-someone wrote some lyrics and fantasizes that it could be a new
prince song

"NEW VERSION of TRC without DART VOICE!"
-another 'imagine what if' thread



you get the idea.

let me say that i love love LOVE threads that speculate or dream
about possible stuff or alternate tracklists etc. but if you put
up one of those, at least name them accordingly like

"imagine trc without the dart vader voice"

"i'm downloading a leak, could this be it?"

"what if wendy and lisa were on the new album?"

ok, start chewing my head off now. i'm sorry if i offended anyone
but i guess someone had to say what, no doubt, many of us are just
a bit bothered by.

maybe there should be a Forum called 'Prince - Non-Music'
since we spend so much time talking about so many peripheral
personals besides the actual music.
