New game !! Artists that quote Prince in their songs OK this game's not difficult and everybody can play it. Just name an artist and a song in which the artist uses a Prince quote.
For example: LL Cool J Ain't Nobody "I guess that's what it sounds like when the dove cries" Foxy Brown Hot Spot "First prince born before the artist known as" Everybody who can name an artist, song and quote gets 100 points  .

'to drink her bathwater...' is one..(from 'sexy m.f.') and 'i'm out of cheeks to turn' (from dinner with delores') is the other... i would not have thought that much about it had they both not been in the same song... doesn't ice cube have a song that says something about 'bought a house next door to prince?' ...the new missy elliot song has a line that says 'prince couldn't make me change my name...' okay..i'm tapped out for now... “Its controversial, but I aint Prince”… Or something like that. By a band called Crossover and they play a great sounding electro funk. Completely electronic with great bass lines and symplistic riffs. Almost old sounding but quite unique too. P influence is written all over it!
I recommend it to all P fans to grab a copy and take a listen (if you can find it!). The simplicity of it all is fantastic. | |
