A younger "musical artist" making fun of a musical legend at a nationally televised awards show is just not cool at all, totally in bad taste and disrespectful.

It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I'm sorry. I'm not even a fan of "Justin Timberlake" (I think some of his songs are infectious, though), but some of you people around here throwing curse words in the defense of "Prince" could be considered "WAY" more childish and foolish than "Justin's" mere poking of fun at "Prince"! I, for one, am more than embarassed at some of you guys. Come on, guys. It was all in the name of fun. Now, if "Prince" wasn't getting any respect from "Justin Timberlake" then I might even frown at that, but nothing more; nothing less. What would "JesUS" do?

Hehehe. Sweet you think I am attracted to him. I really like his dance hits. I got both his albums on the strength of the fact that songs like Rock Your BOdy and Fturesex/Lovesounds totally rule.
I think you are just all sour cuz he is filling the niche once held by Michael Jackson and Prince. It is really funny that someone accused me of being blinded. I just keep reacting to these MANY threads cuz I love to trigger th hate and the prejudice just boiling over on these threads, in the hope to trigger that realisation on at least some of you. And sure, he is not in the same league; he is a singer/performer, not a genius songwriter/musician Prince is. But he pulls of some amazing songs that make my tired old body dance, and that has not happened with Prince in ages. The last Prince dance tune that impressed me was Pheromone. THerefor, Prince, bring Chelsea Rodgers on; I can't wait.

I went off him when I saw him live in May. He sang a song off his album which is blatently directed at britney, thats one thing - people write about their experiences. But then he broke into a slow eiree version of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' and changed the words to something like 'I guess she was crazy, I should have seen' - and this was around the time when she was in rehab and had her breakdown sort of thing. I thought he was totally out of order. I heard a few people boo at this point, and I don't blame them. Yeah, he's a greater performer daner etc - but he needs to watch his mouth and attitude. Prince doesn't need to answer to him.

I still can't believe the way he made fun of Prince's height at that awards show when Prince didn't show up in time...that was totally disrespectful and childish and JT showed what a little bitch he is. I really would love it if someone whooped his punk ass. Someone should also kick the ass of whoever decided to have Timberflake present that award, he's definitely not worthy, as he so clearly showed by his lack of respect towards a REAL MUSICAL LEGEND/GENIUS. Making fun of Prince's height ain't such a big deal... You talk like if Prince was god [Edited 6/30/07 9:43am] What Timberlake did in the awards show is similar to what music critics do when time after time they refer to Prince as the "diminutive rocker." Both focus on Prince's height as if it was a bodily defect. [Edited 7/1/07 9:48am]

From what i read.. this song is a diss to someone that his producer (Timberland) use to do business with. This whole thing was made up in some people's mind because of Prince's "Sexy never left" quote. Enough Already!

Fuck Justin. Seriously. He's just some silly ass BOY who's gotten caught up with his 15 minutes of fame. He hasn't got the talent in his whole body that Michael or Prince has in their left hand. U see his sorry ass is trying to do movies, cuz he knows his time has run up in the music biz. That's what they all do. ESCAPE to the movies, cuz they know their all going to fall off with their whack ass music. U don't see real artists do this shit. P did movies for different reasons. Granted, he can't act worth a shit, but he didn't do movies to SAVE his career. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I dont hate Justin, he just seems annoying, like an annoying mesquito that buzzes in your ear and wont go away...a fly that you want to kill, but it flies aways so quickly, that you cant catch it...tha same goes for that T-Pain (who sadly I'll be seeing in concert today) and that Akorny!

He is short, we get it. That's just discrimination against vertically challenged ppl!!! Then again, they r simply jealous and they try to pick on him about something. But SHUT UP, alredy, DAMN!!! "A source close to the record said that Timberlake's lyrics have nothing to do with his infamous Super Bowl co-star — but he is responding to another pop artist who has seen career heights few other singers can boast." MTV 11/06 Timbaland has confirmed in interviews that his own verse is directed at producer Scott Storch, who claims he produced Cry Me A River with pretty much no input from Timbaland and was paid for his efforts with a fruit basket.

It's called Futuresex/Lovesounds. Get over it. ----- That is the problem It is just a Prince record not a Timberlake or Timbaland original effort. All they can do is copy P.

it would be bizarre and a let down if he did answer the twerp. hopefully prince is not so "in the moment" that he cant see how far removed justin is from being considered a threat. prince has reached a status that justin will need a strong 20 years to reach.when you consider that so far theres only been( for justin)strong writing, good videos and dancing so far he's basically not even on the path to getting where prince is. prince shocked, challenged, made innovations and captured pop mainstream acceptance all at once and that's a hard thing to do.as a matter of fact artist with far more merit than "JT" cant pull it off either. Prince would never admit this but he truly is the king of music period.
