I heard it.
The song made me laugh with delite --- He's back. This is not Prince trying to be Prince...it's Prince playing a fun pop song...like the kind of stuff he used to make. It's rock, it's pop, it's slightly country....you know the kind of stuff that only Prince can get a way with. Think Train or Courtin Time...very cool songs just not somthing you would expect from Prince. This song doesn't sound like them....it sounds like, well nothing he's put out before, maybe like Dolphin yet...a classic Prince pop song. It's radio friendly, the kind of song you want to roll down your windows and crank it up. | |

He sings it in his "deep" voice but hits a little bit of falsetto at the end. It has a catchy chorus and I think it's quite radio friendly. The guitar is quite loud in the mix and there is a short fun guitar solo at the end. The song sounds like it either fades out naturally after around 3 and a half minutes or else the DJ faded it out and there's more to it. I think it's a good thing that it doesn't sound like a 'typical' prince song. It is 'very' catchy, I didn't expect this. It's nice, but I don't know exactly how I feel about it. Do I like it or not ..... ? It's strange, I cannot say. I need to listen to it a few times more .... |

First off, I DON'T have the song so don't message me...BUT I did just hear it and yeah, it's a great song...
All these songs from PE (that I've heard so far) sound "live" and I'm loving that. Someone compared it to "So Far So Pleased" and I would agree in the sense that it's also a midtempo Pop/Rock song that is very catchy. They don't sound alike but if you wanna compare it to something, that's what I would compare it to...I would also compare it to "Take Me With U" in terms of the vibe...again, it DOES NOT sound like Take Me With U but just in terms of the type of song that it is. It has a slap bass line throughout the entire song and it has a very live/band feel to it. Upbeat rock song. I like it. This album is gonna be great. | |
