rare prince guest appearance

Hi collectors,
In my collection i have a 7" single of Elevation the song is called traitor.
On the back of the sleeve it says "guitar Prince"
The single is released in the UK on illuminated records LEV 66. (1985)
It was recorded at Greenhouse studio, London.
The label states writen by Adonis Williams, discordia songs/warner bros. music.

Does anybody know anything about this????
I am trying to find this out for 10 years now and still no answer.
I've spend many days on the internet and no answers.

Who will give an answer so i can sleep again.

Bram

Since this appears to be an official release (not a bootleg), it is safe to say the "Prince" listed on guitar is not the Prince this site is dedicated to smile

Something like that would never slip past everyone just to pop up in 2007 - trust me, Prince fans have done their homework!

It's always good to ask though, there are some obscure recordings (official and otherwise) out there. But there are also alot of things labeled with his name that have absolutely nothing to do with him (see "Fargo" the movie lol).

There´s also "Prince" Charles Alexander from Roxbury, Boston....also a funk legend and music producer....produced a couple of tracks for MaryJBlige and released a couple of albums with his band in the mid 80´s ( like Combat Zone ).

as far as i am aware, this IS regarded as being THE prince. it is listed in many of the biographies of Prince, and i remember back in the '80's it was even used as a prize winning quiz question in a Prince Fanzine (either 'Controversy' or 'The Revolution', where i think they related the story behind it coming into existence), and has been 4 sale in the past thru' Prince related memorabilia sellers as a rarity. if any1 does kno the full story tho'... please fill us in !

Well, why not ? Remember he did some odd appearances on other peoples records, like Stevie Nicks Stand Back or other songs....

Hi
On the sleeve it says "Prince" not "the prince".
It is pretty standard guitarplay nothing special.
