Whats scary is Future Baby Moma after 24 hours worth of listening is perfect for todays Urban Adult Contemporary stations. It has hit all over it
Some of us would like a complete album in this vein as opposed to the masses that crave a rock oriented album. Artists like Maxwell, Dangelo, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu (Mama's Gun was sick) have done full concepts albums like these and they sound great. Goaloppe, Ameil Leriuex, Dwele, just to name a few also come to mind. The slow jams on these artists CDs mixed with mid-tempo funk numbers, and alternative RB...make these party favorites in many a black household Kind of wish P could do the same.....Baby Mommas sounds so good. In any case just like last years Black Sweat which easily could have been played along any Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Pussy Cat Dolls, and yes Sexy Back Justin records...did nothing even though there was clearly a market for it. It was not embraced. What if Future Baby Moma gets the same reception. I was listening to Tom Joyner show this morning and one of his side kicks (maybe his name was Jay) dissed the song and said it made him go to sleep. Told Tom to come and put on some Fantasia at which point he said...."now I'm awake" If Future Baby Moma is putting him to sleep and can't get played and received well on that format....who will hear the record. Man this song is so good...but I don't think radio programmers are going to embrace him. thoughts....Is there a radio market for Prince? [Edited 6/28/07 16:54pm] Dance... Let me see you dance

It won't hurt me much that radio isn't playing Prince. I hardly listen to the radio anyway. I think FBM is a pretty good song, but to be honest I was never a fan of Prince's R & B side(besides the songs on his early albums).

Growing in DC I discovered Prince and by 1999 was completely blown away by a musician that could cover such large cross section of music and so well 1999 Girls & Boys Kiss Purple Rain She Always In My Hair Insatiable The Question of U Joy in Repetition Erotic City I Wanna B UR Lover Automatic Something in the Water... Bob George Sign O' the Times The One Do U Lie Fury (live version) Little Red Corvette Head Mountains Computer Blues Darlin Nikki I mean I could go on His ability to cover so many types of music and well was just unbelievable especially between 1999 & Lovesexy. Its shocking really and he still has the gift to play these songs live....so that will never be taken away from him. I do believe its time for a full concept albumn in the vien of Future Baby Moma. Much like the artist I mention earlier are doing. This especially after pop and rock studio records hes released lately. Time for a albumn for his base! Dance... Let me see you dance

Jay is an ass and he has something bad to say about everything with exception of Porn. The song was not written for a 60 year-old greasy black man.

Future baby Momma is SHIT. Not 'the shit' just plain old, stinking turd. A Linn Drum doesn not a Prince track make.

I think it will be embraced a little more by female audiences cause it's a slow love song, people who are waiting around for Prince's music to sound like it use to 20 or 30 years ago can forget it. Wake up it's a new day
