Make no mistake Future Baby Mama is Old School Prince ..just heard it for the 1st time at 3121.com. It is classic Prince--I mean like a mix of 1999 era sound and something off of Prince and the rap is straight up cool and more gentle "I hate U" kind of rap.

Just cant get into it. The drums have that sound but it just doesnt cut the mustard with me. I think he was going for another 'crucial' but it just comes off as another beautiful loved and blessed with a linn drum. | |

Good call. I put it on again a few moments ago but had to stop at it the spoken break. Not that the spoken break is too terrible, but the song as a whole is just so bland, I get the idea after the first few beats. If this is "Old School Prince," you must be in your late teens or early twenties. . No hard feelings. | |

Was quite surprised, it is a very sincere song, I liked it a lot. No theatrics that will make us cringe in 10 years time like "have you ever kissed another woman on the dance floor?" Yawn. Sort of like sweet baby meets what do you want me to do. Yeah, I'm happy with that. Can't wait to hear the whole cd. Take it - like Clarence said:

It's just a good basic Prince song. I don't think it conjures up images of his best work, but it will do just fine.
I need to keep listening. At first, I though it was bland, then I started to like it better, this morning I'm indifferent. But, overall I like it. And, I'm glad a lot of people really seem to enjoy it. "Guitar" is a disaster. | |
