I always wonder if he has all these plans staged out in advance (in his mind) to see how he affects the industry when they come to light.

Cool, thanks. Hope its right

It does sound a bit desperate and tacky but at the end of the day its a new Prince album, and when you're listening to it on your ipod or in the car it doesn't matter how you got it

Very true...but for collection purposes we need the real deal. Hope the ones given away at the concerts are the full retail versions.

I fucking love this concept, its a massive finger deal finger3 oral to the music retail industry who have been ripping us all off for a long time now, it makes me wonder how many other artists will follow suit

Um, he's basically f*cking the UK High Street. In principle. To the tune of about 1 CD sold per independent record outlet (f*ck HMV). So our well loved Cob Records (here in my ickle old town) will be out of pocket to the tune of no more than about 7 quid.

That's it. I'm quitting my job in retailing and moving myself and my family into Second Life where we can farm pixels and code to sell to moronic avatars. I'm SICK of paying all that money on overpriced CDs when I could be spending it on over-priced f*cking virtual lattes!!!!!

GrrrrrRRRRR.

(I'll be first in the Newsagent on Sunday, don't worry)
